In 2012, we planned and co-ordinated a very special client’s 40^th birthday with a J&B Met theme. When he approached us this year to help with his wife’s 40^th, we jumped for joy and said ‘yes!’

Carin and Hennie are both such amazing people and we really wanted to give her something special for her birthday. We sat down and chatted about the theme, venue and all the other usual suspects and decided that we will celebrate in their beautiful home in Durbanville, with an Old Hollywood Glam theme. It suited her perfectly!

By incorporating the furniture she already had in her home and bringing in a black-and-white dance floor, black and white plinths and coffee tables – decorated with gold, Gatsby-styled vinyl and lots of candles, fairylights and chandeliers, we set the mood for the night.

The guests dressed up in suits ‘n ties and Hollywood sparkle and enjoyed the night to the tunes of Frank Sinatra and Nina Simone.
