Kelvin’s 60’s Diner Party

Kelvin’s party was the second of its kind in the family – a right of passage, to celebrate him taking the next step towards adulthood. The previous year, his big brother had paved the way by leaving the family behind in Cape Town and joining the prestigious Hilton College in Durban for his high school career. Following in his brother’s footsteps, Kelvin’s last year of primary school was ended off with a farewell party of note, with a fun and festive 60’s Diner theme.

The big occasion was celebrated at the beautiful Nantes Estate in Paarl and the venue was transformed into the perfect 60’s Diner, with black and white blocks, splashes of primary colours, hundreds of balloons and, of course, popcorn, soft serve and candy floss machines.

Two Chefs treated the kids to delicious milkshakes as welcome drinks and bite-sized burgers, pizzas and fries for the munchies. Everybody dressed up and even Austin Powers graced us with his eclectic presence!

There was a photobooth, a fire show and a DJ who kept the kids on the dance floor till it was time for their parents to pick them up. It was a wonderful celebration and a lot of fun to plan and be a part of.
