Our stunning bride, a Brazilian beauty (and famous singer!) wanted an eclectic wedding, filled with bold colours and overflowing with flowers. They chose Asara in Stellenbosch, Cape Town for the amazing views of the mountain and tranquil surrounds as their venue and we coloured it in to our hearts' content! With Spring in the air, we thought it apt to share this, one of our favourite weddings of the year. Why a favourite? Because we love colour! The Bride designed and made her own drop-dead divine (and daring) wedding dress and looked gloriously bohemian with more flowers crowning her...
Anthea & Idris: Nooitgedacht, Stellenbosch
2 May 2015 dawned perfectly crisp and wintery and we were excited to celebrate Idris and Anthea's wedding with them at Nooitgedacht in Stellenbosch, Cape Town. The air held a certain mystery and it almost seemed as if Nature had dressed to match the white and gold theme, but had splashed around in pools of deep reds and yellows and accents of green. The chapel was warm and inviting with the lights of many flickering candles and the chandeliers in the hall sparkled in diamonds off the shining gold underplates and table numbers on the tables. It was the perfect Winter Wonderland backdrop...
Lisa & Kerwin: Nooitgedacht in Stellenbosch
Lisa and Kerwin chose the beautiful backdrop of Nooitgedacht in Stellenbosch, Cape Town for their wedding celebration. Based in the UK, they wanted to bring in elements of Cape Town and chose the Protea as the golden thread that would tie their stationery and décor together. This majestic flower was set in a sophisticated pallette of coral, navy and grey. They were such a fun couple to work with, evidently in love, but with a child-like playfulness that filtered through their entire day (as did their mutual obsession with shoes!) Their day was a mix of typical wedding customs, traditional...
Monica & Brett: Zevenwacht, Cape Town
Brett and his beautiful Romanian bride, Monica, have a bit of history with Zevenwacht and so they decided to get married on the rolling lawns in front of the lake and party till the early hours in the venue very reminiscent of a bush lodge. They wanted an intimate celebration that made their guests (who came from far and wide) feel at home, like they were having a dinner party at someone's house. Being world travellers, they added a lot of sentiment to the wedding with small details such as the table names (with stories of their travels) and edible candles that brought back memories of...
Lisa & Nick: Rhebokskloof, Paarl
Tables with full floral runners, soft, pastel chinese lanterns and the most delicate paper birds balancing on champagne flutes created the backdrop to Lisa and Nick's beautiful wedding at Rhebokskloof Estate in Paarl, Cape Town. Lisa looked like a silver screen goddess from old Hollywood and was the happiest, most beautiful bride. The ceremony was heartfelt and sweet and was followed by the pre-drinks on the rolling lawns of the estate. The cake was an absolute masterpiece and was cut right before the couple left for their couple's shoot, so that guests could enjoy it while they waited...
