Island Fabulous: Praslin Island, Seychelles

Our very first international wedding took us all the way to Praslin Island in the Seychelles. Abraham and Embe wanted an Island Fabulous wedding and it was both a challenge and a pleasure to make that happen! The process was a massive learning curve. The resort was very helpful and professional, but we really struggled to find suppliers on that side that could carry the vision and bring the right skills to the table. So after many a trial and error, we decided to fly a florist in and by a process of elimination we stumbled upon an amazing decor supplier (who really saved the day in the...

Bohemian Celebration: Kalmoesfontein, AA Badenhorst Wines

Hidde and Alicia chose the amazing Kalmoesfontein on the AA Badenhorst wine farm as the backdrop for their eclectic, Bohemian style wedding (and it was a match made in heaven!) Can we just talk about the venue for a second? Rustic, but SO divine, there is beauty and detail wherever you look. From the rich array of plant life (anything from vineyards, to fruit trees, to prickly pear) to the curated collection of taxidermy and old school posters and art against the walls. It is an absolute feast for the eye in every direction. The tables and chairs that are included in the venue hire paired...

Tropical Event: Praslin Island, Seychelles

2017 took us all the way to the Seychelles to plan not only an international wedding but also a fabulous, tropical themed *“drunch”! *Drunch = drunken lunch It was a learning curve of note, from a wedding planner’s point of view, since they do things very differently on Praslin Island and event decor suppliers are not nearly as readily available or as creative as in Cape Town. (Side note: we are really SUPER spoilt when it comes to our suppliers over here! #soblessed) Both events took place at the renowned and incredibly beautiful Constance LeMuria resort on Praslin Island, but the...

Jumi & Tunde: Pantone inspired wedding at Cavalli Estate, Stellenbosch

Jumi and Tunde is a Nigerian couple living in London, who fell in love with the picturesque mountains and views of Cape Town. They set their hearts on Cavalli Estate and we started planning their wedding. Jumi loved the Pantone colours of 2016 and so we used this as the inspiration for their flowers and décor. Initially we thought that we would struggle to plan a Pantone 2016 wedding in 2018, but we had so much fun! Jumi's ideas were easy to incorporate and everything seemed to come together beautifully. The couple had their hearts set on a fully outdoors wedding and the plan was to do...

Liehet & Hendrik: Woodland Wedding At Beloftebos, Stanford

Liehet and Hendrik dreamt of a whimsical woodland wedding and found the perfect spot at Beloftebos in Stanford. The venue seemed like a tailor-made backdrop for their fairytale and created just the right amount of mystery and magic. They envisioned warm jewel tones, complimented with rose gold and fairylights to make it appear as if the stars where joining the party. A woodland wedding would not be complete without a few forest creatures and they had wooden  sculptures made that represented their nicknames for each other. The bear and the owl also featured on all the stationery and was a...
