But Is It Art?

“But is it Art?” is the question we asked ourselves for this amazing client’s 40th birthday celebration.

We chose a gallery as the back-drop and created three main areas for guests to mingle in. Canapés and cocktails were enjoyed in an area that was moody, in jewel tones and accents of black and gold while dinner was an all-white experience. The real vibe was the neon dance space, accented by strings of LED lights and bright pink uplights. The piéce de résistance was an artfully made cake, layered with colour and interesting texture.

As part of the entertainment (and also the birthday gift) an artist did a live portrait of the birthday boy and drag sensation, Edo Mostert, serenaded the crowd to their great delight.

Art was definitely celebrated and enjoyed and in my humble opinion, the answer is a resounding YES!
