Lanie & Franco: A Karoo celebration

When you think of the Karoo, you think arid ground, red hills, warm sunshine… For the most part, this is all true, except for the week before Lanie and Franco’s wedding. The heavens opened and the Karoo was under flood!

What was going to be an al fresco wedding deluxe, turned into a creatively covered celebration.

Back story: Lanie is one of six daughters and they all grew up and got married on their family farm in the beautiful Oudshoorn district. Lanie being the youngest and last to get married was devastated when their farm was sold, thinking she would not be able to get married there. Luckily the new owners were delighted to host her wedding and they went out of their way to make this possible for her. Even when the rain derailed most of our plans!

Rain or not, it was a spectacular celebration and we were so honoured to be a part of their wedding day.

Thank you:
